Nepal is famous for white water rafting. It benefits from its amazing, beautiful, and long rivers which form a great tourist attraction site. The rivers are surrounded by an appealing landscape of hills and mountains. Nepal has two major cities where visitors can board as they head to their favorite water rafting destination; Bokhara and Kathmandu.

The following guide will help you get the utmost enjoyment when visiting Nepal

Short trips: If you are going on short trips to Nepal, it is good to visit rivers that offer the best experience. Choose wisely aiming at maximizing the best experience ever.

Trisuli River: This River is about four hours’ drive from Kathmandu, a nice bouncy river whose rapids aren’t too big and therefore ideal for beginners. From it, you can gaze upon some pretty terraced farmland, indigenous villages, and enormously laid out hills

Bhote Kosi River: This is a river near to Kathmandu, some two to three hours drive. This river’s water is suitable during the hot season and it has beautiful camps for visitors to spend their nights.

River Seti: This River is very near Pokhara city and therefore accessibility is easy. It’s a perfect option on a single-day option. It’s a 30 minutes drive from Kathmandu and though short, is full of class three and four rapids. While there you can enjoy the glorious views of Annapurna.

Long trips: If you are going for a long water rafting trip in Nepal, you can go to the furthest places in Nepal where you will be able to enjoy a variety of landscapes and camp on the white sand.

The rivers that are suitable for long white water rafting are Sun Kosi River which is suitable for rapids which makes water rafting more fun and enjoyable. At Tamur River, rapids are quite challenging making it suitable for experienced people.

Karnali River located in remote and interiors parts of the country is another exciting place to be. The river has very admirable blue waters and golden sand. Its landscape is also pleasant in the eyes of visitors for a long time.

Following is a guide on how to get the best out of your rafting

Combine two activities

You are advised to combine two activities when going on a trip to Nepal to maximize all available opportunities. The rivers that are best for water rafting are also good for kayaking. This is a good idea for beginners, friends, and couples traveling together.

Choosing the best rafting company

While in Nepal, choose a reputable company that has good reviews. Seek to know whether the accommodation offered is comfortable and safe. Besides, consider the cost offered among several companies in Nepal and choose the most affordable.

Research on the best time to go.

If you want to go for water rafting in Nepal, seek to know the best time of the year to go for your trip. For instance, the spring season of March to May is an appropriate time because the rains are minimal and with hot weather. Again, you can also visit Nepal during autumn when water levels are high thus you enjoy water rapids- if you’re a fan.

The beauty and fulfillment found in some of the revered heritage sites and enjoying a splash of rejuvenation in the natural world is the true spirit of Nepal. You have not found the true meaning of rest if you’ve not visited Nepal.
